A year of Remtek Systems: A note from John Farrar
As we approach the end of the year it’s important to reflect on our achievements and challenges overcome, especially in navigating our way through such uncertain times.
Firstly, we wanted to say a massive thank you to all the students we have had the pleasure of working with throughout 2021. We are delighted to have supported you throughout your studies and seen many of you thrive.
We would also like to thank our fantastic team members who have worked tirelessly over the last year to deliver the highest level of support for DSA students, something that is reflected in our Google Reviews which now stands at 372 reviews with an impressive average of 4.9. Well done everyone for all of your fantastic work and for all of the great feedback.
In addition to our team members, we would also like to thank the assessors and assessment centres that we have worked closely with throughout 2021, we consider each of you to be an extended member of our team. It’s been another great year for partnership working and supporting DSA students in achieving their outcomes, thank you to each of you.
As part of our business ethos, we constantly look for ways to improve service delivery. Over the past year we’ve created a student hub, called Remtek Students full of helpful advice and tips for students as well as guest content pieces from a range of AT publishers. Remtek Students shares articles such as “What can students expect from their first training session?” and “Upgrades: everything you need to know”. The aim of this hub is to provide a one stop shop for students that addresses any concerns they might have and promotes shared learning. There’s also a section outlining our DSA ergonomics offer and a student portal filled with guidance including initial setup and booking training.
We wanted to create a dedicated space for students that answered questions and provided useful information especially during such a challenging year.
In addition to Remtek Students we also launched the commercial arm of our business, Remtek Workplace.
This new arm of the business explores how we can ensure that students, employees and home workers have a working environment that is as comfortable as possible.
Instead of expecting people to adapt to a design that forces them to work in an uncomfortable, stressful or dangerous way, our ergonomics specialists try to understand how a product, workplace or system can be designed to suit the people who need to use it.
The ergonomics team is led by Head of Ergonomics, Chris Barlow. Chris explained why our ergonomics offer is industry leading:
“Our DSE assessors have carried out DSE assessments for some of the most complex cases, and this knowledge is being brought forward as the student’s continue their journeys into the workforce.
Our “on the road showrooms” allow us to carry out live, guided evaluations in a client’s current workspace if required. However, as none of our assessment team are commission based, we are under no bias to recommend unnecessary products if the current equipment is adequate. Often, a restructuring of the current workspace, or some training on neutral postures, breaks, and lighting is all that is needed.”
Thank you again to everyone involved with Remtek Systems in 2021, we look forward to working with you in 2022. Happy holidays and best wishes for the New Year.
