As we head towards the end of the year and our attention is focused on family, friends and Christmas activities we thought we would take the opportunity to thank everyone who has been part of our journey this year and share some updates for 2024.
We are delighted to announce that 2023 has been another great year for Remtek with our ‘Access to Work’ work having increased, new trainers being trained up and starting their training sessions, our very own Thomas Jackson being promoted from Assistive Technology Trainer to Lead Trainer and more CPD having been completed than any other year including Chloe (Head of Admin) attending an exciting new leadership course.
Our professional new trainers, Thomas’ attendance at a range of DSA events across the nation and the amount of CPD completed has made a huge impact on the business. We discovered why students are raving about our new Assistive Technology Trainer, Claire Sheen in an article earlier this year which explored how she approaches training.
We have also had some exciting updates in our Student and Ergonomic arms;
Remtek Workplace has seen some major successes with the team increasing by 40%, including a dedicated administrative team, and tripling output in the London region.
The ergonomics team has been busy with upskilling and training including the senior assessors gaining their advanced DSE certifications.
In addition to this we are now officially a Vela and Flokk dealer, enabling us to deliver a wider range of high-end ergonomic chairs to users with serious conditions and significant disabilities.

Remtek Students website has been a huge hit in 2023 with the feedback form being utilised more than ever to support student queries and provide suitable solutions.
We have also been working with our Assistive Technology partners to bring the latest updates and helpful tools to students through our student blog. This includes wellbeing at university advice from Booost, an interview with Emily, a DSA student from TextHelp, tips on how to improve study skills at college from Glean, free device offers from Feathertail and updates on Thomas’ travels including this summer’s CPD Revolution.
All of our efforts, training and developments above have led us to our most exciting achievement, yet which was reaching 1000 Google reviews, whilst retaining an impressive score of 4.9. These reviews are testament to the hard work of every team member at Remtek Systems and show the positive outcomes that are being achieved from our dedicated training and overall service delivery.
What will 2024 bring?
With such a successful year the bar has been set high for 2024. As part of our commitment to the environment, we have been taking big steps towards our carbon reduction plan including the purchase of 3 new electric vehicles.
The business as a whole is promoting an emphasis on sustainability across all departments. Recently we reupholstered a large portion of our chairs and have been encouraging upcycling internally and to our clients.
We want to ensure the same level of dedication to students and end users for the upcoming year and are busy exploring how we can shift our expertise and content into video tutorials. We are also delighted to share that on January 8th we will be moving into our new premises at Metroplex Business Park. This new office will include a professional showroom for our ergonomic items, pod areas and break-out rooms for collaborative planning.
We caught up with General Manager Nick Dalli to hear his thoughts on the new office and ventures for 2024:
“2023 has been a great year for the team and Remtek clients. As mentioned above the ‘Student’ and ‘Ergonomic’ arms of the business have seen some fantastic developments and through training and partnerships we have been able to make some huge improvements for all our users. This has been reflected in the huge number of positive Google reviews which we are extremely proud of. All of our team have been part of that drive for success, and we all get a thrill out of the great comments not to mention the value the feedback has added to business developments.
All of the steps that we are taking will ensure the highest quality of service provision for students and end users in 2024. Our employees are completely bought into the Remtek ethos of ‘customer first’ and our team building events including the summer BBQ and Christmas party are great opportunities for us all to come together, bond and appreciate the hard work of each individual.
Our business growth has also enabled us to increase our charity work including support for Save the Children, Children in Need, Food Banks and not forgetting dress down Friday every week.
We are excited for the move to our new premises next year and can’t wait to see what we can achieve in 2024. I personally would just like to say a huge thank you to every team member for their efforts throughout 2023, we wouldn’t be where we are without you all. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone.”
